In 1948 the state of Israel was founded. And the Israeli Defence Force was established. Imi Lichtenfield was appointed as the IDF'S Chief hand-to-hand combat instructor, and his system, Krav Maga, became the offical system of the IDF. And is still to this day. The only and official hand-to-hand combat system of the entirely Israeli Defence Forces.  Krav Maga was designed to teach individuals, how to effectively survive violent attacks, using instinctive  response to dominate and terminate a threat as quickly as possible. Krav Maga has been used and battle-tested for over 60 years. In the most conflict and battle-zone of the Middle-East. And his effectiveness and reliability has kept it as the official system of the entire Israel Defence Apparatus. Including the Special Forces, National Police, Secret Service,  and Mossad.

KRAV MAGA -
(CONTACT COMBAT)
THE ISRAELI HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT
AND SURVIVAL SYSTEM

Krav Maga was developed by the Israeli Defense Force specifically for soldiers operating in extreme hostile environments. Over many years of intense conflict, this system was refined into today's simplest and most effective unarmed combat and self-defense system.

The key factors to the simplicity and effectiveness of this system are the same two elements that are applied in all Israeli training; Instinct and aggressiveness.

Krav Maga is based on the mind's instinctive reaction to threats and combat. The aggressive element of this system trains the mind to engage a threat without hesitation, and instills the proper mindset needed to overcome fear and survive the worst case situations.

Because this system is based on instinctive reaction, it can be learned and applied in real-life situations immediately. The operational effectiveness of this system has made it extremely popular among police and military forces around the world.
